You can sit in about two dozen brands’ 2027 models in one afternoon and drive plenty of them, with no salesperson asking what it would take to get you into a car today. That’s the 2026 LA Auto Show, and it’s basically 10 days of no-pressure research.

When and Where to Show Up

Mark your calendar, because the LA Auto Show dates run Friday, Nov. 20, to Sunday, Nov. 29. It’s cashless, and the doors are open on Thanksgiving.

Where: Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa St.
Fridays and Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 22: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Monday through Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thanksgiving, Nov. 26: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closing Sunday, Nov. 29: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Crowds thin out Monday through Wednesday. Hours can change, so check the official show hours before you go.

What It Costs

Prices include fees and are good online through Nov. 19. Kids under 6 are free. LA Auto Show tickets are online only, and nothing is sold at the door, so grab yours here.

Want the cheapest way in? Opening Day on Nov. 20 is $20 for adults and $9 for seniors 65 and older and kids 6 to 12, but the show’s homepage says sales for it end Nov. 18.

Going on a weekday? Weekdays Only covers Nov. 23 to 26 and costs $22 for adults, $11 for seniors and kids.

Keeping your options open? Any Day is $25 for adults and $13 for seniors and kids.

Beating the weekend crowd? Weekend Priority Entry gets you in at 8 a.m. Saturday or Sunday for $45, or $23 for seniors and kids.

Bringing the family? The Family Four Pack is $66 for four people, good Nov. 25 or 26.

Want a guide? The VIP Guided Tour is $95 for adults and $45 for children.

Groups of 20 or more can request a discount. Check the ticket page for any other cutoffs.

Who’s on the Floor

Detroit: Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Jeep and Ram. Truck and SUV shoppers will want to spend most of their time here.

Japanese: Acura, Honda, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota. Good stops if you care most about a car that just runs.

Korean and European: Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, Porsche DTLA and Volkswagen.

EV-first: Lucid, Rivian and Tesla. All three are on the official brand list and offer test drives, so you can try one without a salesperson at your elbow.

Don’t go looking for Lincoln, Maserati, Volvo or Scout this time. They turned up in last year’s lineup but didn’t make this year’s cut.

What’s Worth a Look

Head for the cars people actually buy. The show’s October announcement calls these highlights, not confirmed debuts.

Trucks. The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a next-generation redesign with new V8 engines. If you’re a V8 truck person, the Ram 1500 is back with its HEMI V8.

Family haulers. The Kia Telluride Hybrid is the three-row SUV’s first turbo hybrid. Minivan shoppers should start at the refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica, and the redesigned 2027 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is the two-row option.

Hybrids and compacts. The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid brings Nissan’s e-POWER system to the U.S. The next-gen Hyundai Tucson comes with a new hybrid powertrain, and the Jeep Cherokee Hybrid is Jeep’s hybrid take on a familiar name.

Electrics. The Rivian R2 and the all-electric Toyota Highlander are the two to see. Toyota calls the Highlander a 2028 model.

Those horsepower and range numbers are the automakers’ own. Double-check them on the company’s newsroom before you count on them.

Test Drives

LA Auto Show test drives come with your ticket, and 16 brands are taking part: Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Jeep, Kia, Lucid, Nissan, Ram, Rivian, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen.

You can drive on downtown streets, or try an EV or hybrid on the LADWP Test Track outside South Hall. Nissan runs an indoor ride course, and Ford and Jeep set up off-road courses.

Getting a turn is simple. Sign-up happens on-site, first come, first served, and drivers need a valid license and have to meet the age requirement, according to the official test drives page. Drivers and passengers also sign a waiver. The show hasn’t posted which models will be available yet, so check back closer to the date.

Once you’ve been behind the wheel, nobody will pressure you to buy. Cars aren’t sold at the show, but reps can connect you with a dealer when you’re ready.

Used Cars and the Show

Here’s how the trip pays off even if you never buy new. Every 2027 model you drive is tomorrow’s used car, and when a popular one gets redesigned, last year’s version tends to get easier to afford. That’s a general pattern, not a price promise, so check real listings first.

Say you fall for the new Telluride Hybrid but the price makes you wince. You’ve now seen what changed and what you like. Go look at a used Telluride from 2026 or 2025 and you’ll know exactly what you’d be giving up.

Selling instead? Look up your model on the automaker’s newsroom, or ask a rep at its booth, to see whether a redesign is coming. Buyers will.

Getting In and Parking

Garage parking runs $25 to $35, first come, first served, so the official visitor FAQ suggests reserving a spot through SpotHero, which can be cheaper. Or take Metro to Pico Station, about a block away. Leave pets and big bags (over 12 by 15 inches) at home, though service animals are fine. A hand stamp lets you leave for lunch and come back the same day.
